Job summary

Aventura at Walton Hills in Walton Hills, OH is hiring State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs) to join a compassionate care team. Shifts include Part-Time and Full-Time, with day and night options.

You will assist residents with ADLs, monitor vital signs, and support mobility while maintaining safe, respectful care in a supportive setting. Qualifications include a current STNA certification in Ohio, 6+ months in long-term care or assisted living, and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Valid STNA certification in Ohio.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6+ months experience in long-term care or assisted living.
• CPR certification current or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
• Take and record vital signs (temp, pulse, respiration, BP) as directed.
• Assist mobility, positioning, transfers, use of assistive devices.
• Observe and report changes to nursing staff.
• Answer call lights promptly and provide needed assistance.
• Help residents with meals, including tray setup and feeding.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care provided.
• Keep resident rooms clean, organized, and safe.
• Provide respectful, compassionate care per care plans.
• Follow facility policies, state regulations, and infection control protocols.
• Participate in in-service training and ongoing education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respectful, compassionate care in accordance with resident care plans.
• Follow facility policies, state regulations, and infection control protocols.
• Participate in in-service training and continuing education as required.

Qualifications

• Valid STNA certification in the state of employment
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 6+ months of experience in long-term care or assisted living.
• Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
• Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents and perform job-related tasks.
• Current CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).
