Job summary

The Oklahoma Department of Libraries is seeking a Government Records Officer to manage professional level records for the State Records Management program. Responsibilities include processing and monitoring records intake, coordinating transfers, and responding to inquiries while ensuring retention schedules align with standards.

The role requires a degree or CRM certification with related experience, plus the ability to travel between facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with two years of records management experience, or CRM certification with two years, or six years in records management.

Responsibilities

  • Process and monitor the intake, maintenance, and retrieval of state records at the State Records Center.
  • Coordinate the transfer of records from agencies to the State Records Center and the State Archives.
  • Respond to records management process related inquiries from state government entities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with state agencies to ensure retention schedules reflect current standards and guidelines.
  • Assist in the formulation, implementation and review of records management policies, procedures and manuals.
  • Participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of records retention and disposition schedules for state agencies.

Education

Bachelor's degree and two years of records management experience; or CRM certification with two years of records management experience; or six years of records management experience
