Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Startup Operations professional to drive new dedicated transportation startups and ongoing field support. Extensive travel (75–80%) will place you at new business locations nationwide for set periods, with leadership duties and process development responsibilities.

You will build and train teams, ensure compliance with core operations, and contribute to documentation and testing for new product features in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain preferred.
• Two years+ relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or related field.
• One year+ direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• MS Office proficiency is required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
• Advanced logistics industry knowledge is required.
• Knowledge of local and federal regulations.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production.

Responsibilities

• Startup team focused on flawless execution and adherence to customer success factors.
• Ensure drivers and managers understand core operations and systems for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing.
• Act as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick startup-phase decisions.
• Train new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group.
• Build out process flow and provide guidance on consistency of operations.
