Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking candidates for Startup Operations (SET Ops) to manage setup consulting and ongoing support for new Dedicated Transportation Solutions.

The role involves extensive travel (75-80%), training drivers and managers, and creating process documents while guiding design-level consulting for product features. You'll be deployed to new business locations nationwide for defined periods, ensuring coordination of operations, compliance, and customer billing.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain preferred.
• Two (2) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field required.
• One (1) year or more direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required. advanced required.
• Logistics industry knowledge advanced required.
• Knowledge and understanding of Customer/Company local and Federal regulations. advanced required.
• Fundamental knowledge of Supply Chain Management components. intermediate required.
• Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Production advanced required.

Responsibilities

• Members of Start Up team focused on flawless execution and adherence to pre-established customer critical success factors
• Ensuring both drivers and managers understand the core operations and systems used for tracking compliance, driver pay, and customer billing
• Acting as an arm of management to answer questions and make quick decisions during the startup phase
• Training of new management team and Certified Driver Trainer group
• Building out of process flow and providing guidance on consistency of operations
