Job summary

Southern Star is hiring a Starlink Technician to install and service Starlink internet for homes in rural and underserved communities. You will be a technology ambassador, helping customers get online and understand their new service.

The role offers paid training and opportunities to advance to Senior and Master Tech, with a base pay progression starting at $17 per hour and a guaranteed $20 per hour during the post-training period.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge and ability to climb ladders up to 38 ft and work in crawl spaces.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willing to travel up to 20% of the time; valid MVRS background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Install and service Starlink equipment for customers.

Job description

Training/Base pay rate of $17.00 per hour. The Base rate increases .50 upon completion of 60 days of employment.

We have a Guaranteed Hourly Rate of $20.00 per hour upon completion of training through your first 9 months. This allows time to build your bonus and commission skills.

If your post-training base rate, plus bonuses and commission don’t bring you to the Guaranteed Hourly Rate, we will increase your pay. However, the earning potential is much higher!

As a Southern Star Starlink Technician, you'll install and service Starlink, the high-speed satellite internet connecting homes across rural and underserved communities. You'll do more than install equipment. You'll be a technology ambassador who gets customers online and shows them how to make the most of their new service.
