Job summary

Macy’s is seeking a Manager, Starbucks for the licensed Starbucks café inside Macy’s. You’ll lead a safe, efficient operation that upholds brand standards while driving sales, profitability, and an exceptional customer experience.

Partner with Macy’s and Starbucks leadership to meet quality and financial goals. This role requires strong leadership, a focus on food safety, and the ability to coach Supervisors and Baristas in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of retail, restaurant, or food service management experience.
• ServSafe certified or food handler permit as required by state/local health dept.
• Must obtain Barista Basics, Barista Trainer, Daily Ops, and LS Leader certifications for Starbucks Licensed leaders within introductory period.
• Ability to access and review written and electronic information and work with office systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of café operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and brand-right environment.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop Supervisors and Baristas.
• Deliver exceptional customer service per Starbucks and Macy’s standards.
• Ensure food and beverage quality, presentation, and merchandising align with standards.
• Develop schedules and labor plans to optimize productivity and maintain service levels.
• Manage ordering, inventory, and invoice processing to meet budgeted costs.
• Review financial reports and Act to meet sales, expense, and profit goals.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health regulations are followed.
• Oversee cash handling, POS operations, and adherence to policies.
