Job Details:

The Mercer University School of Medicine on the Savannah campus is searching for a Standardized Patient Program Manager.

Responsibilities:

The Standardized Patient Program Manager is responsible for oversight of the Savannah campus Medical Practice/Clinical Skills Center and the educational programs utilizing standardized patients who simulate patients in clinical scenarios. This position will act under the indirect supervision of the Clinical Skills Director and will supervise at least one full-time employee. This position requires collaborative interaction with physician clerkship directors and with other applicable Standardized Patient Program Managers.

Qualifications:

Two years of college coursework and four years of prior experience coordinating professional activities in an educational or theater environment, which can include prior teaching experience, are required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Applicants should have knowledge and experience in teaching and strategies for educating and training adults.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge and experience in techniques and strategies for educating and training adults (and occasionally children). This will enhance medical student education and will enhance the training of standardized patients. The ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a various groups of people. The ability to review and manage budgets. The ability to supervise others.
