Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Stage Responsible Engineer for the Gen 1.1 second stage of New Glenn. You will own the integrated stage hardware from requirements through flight, lead design trades, and drive engineering change on the factory floor.

You will coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to resolve issues and ensure on-time build and delivery. You will mentor junior engineers, champion safety and quality, and communicate technical status to leadership and

Formación

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 8+ years in launch vehicle, spacecraft, or aircraft structures/hardware.
• Hands-on hardware experience on production or flight hardware.
• Strong understanding of structural design, metallic design, buckling, fatigue, and fracture.
• Experience with cryogenic tanks, pressurized structures, or large welded assemblies.
• Ability to own hardware lifecycle from requirements to integration.
• Experience with manufacturing nonconformances and closure of discrepancies.
• Proficient in CAD/PLM tools (Creo/Windchill).
• Knowledge of systems engineering practices and mission/safety-critical systems.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the single technical owner for Gen 1.1 second stage upgrades.
• Own and drive stage-level engineering change through release and interfaces.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to keep hardware moving.
• Maintain and report technical and hardware status for stage activities.
• Align New Glenn systems engineering, design, and production practices across the second stage.
• Identify opportunities for design, process, and cost savings.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers across engineering, integration, and systems.
• Present technical content to leadership and external customers.
