Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to own the Stage One structural component design for New Glenn. You will develop CAD definitions, support procurement, and collaborate with production, analysis, and manufacturing teams to deliver a robust structural assembly for flight. The role requires a B.S.

in engineering with 2+ years of experience, CAD proficiency (Creo), GD&T knowledge, and familiarity with FEA tools. U.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Interest in aerospace structural design.
• Familiarity with structural analysis fundamentals.
• Experience with 3D CAD for mechanical design.
• Knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5.
• Familiar with ASME Y14.100 and Y14.41.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Full ownership of New Glenn Stage One structural component design
• Develop, release and maintain a full CAD and drawing engineering definition package.
• Prioritize and drive procurement activities to support vehicle build schedules.
• Provide engineering support to production and integration.
• Support integrated test objectives, data review and reporting
• Identify concepts for New Glenn upgrades and improvements.
