Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the coordination of system engineering, test, and launch operations for the New Glenn GS2PA program. You will drive requirements, interfaces, and health metrics across subsystem teams, ensuring safe, reliable vehicle operations.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering (or similar technical field).
• 7+ years in systems engineering, test, and launch operations on launch vehicles or regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience in developing, authoring, and executing integrated tests or operating launch vehicles.
• Experience with cryogenics, pneumatics, avionics, and rocket engine systems.
• Strong systems engineering practices and safety-critical systems knowledge.
• Ability to lead in ambiguous environments and mentor junior engineers.
• Proficient written and verbal communication; strong teamwork and self-starter attitude.
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for system engineering, testing, and launch operations for existing systems and new GS2PA capabilities.
• Coordinate across GS2PA subsystems to enable complex trades and integrated solutions.
• Develop, allocate, and verify requirements for solutions.
• Negotiate interfaces and align with internal/external stakeholders.
• Support consistent implementation of GS2PA engineering practices across programs.
• Create health metrics to track program health and milestones.
• Lead gated reviews and contribute to program reviews at element and system levels.
• Develop operational documentation for launch vehicle operations and integrated software.
