Job summary

MyPath is seeking a dedicated Staffing Support Coordinator to develop, train, and retain Direct Support Professional staff. This role coordinates new-hire training, mentors staff, and coaches in the field to build competency and ensure compliance with licensing and program standards.

You will support crisis intervention, model de-escalation, maintain training records, and contribute to quality oversight across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education in human services preferred.
• Experience with individuals with developmental, behavioral, or emotional needs preferred.
• Experience providing staff training, coaching, mentoring, or professional development preferred.
• Experience with crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-the-job training and floor orientation for new staff.
• Identify training needs through interviews, observation, surveys, discussions, and reviews.
• Provide daily feedback to supervisors regarding new-hire progress and onboarding.
• Conduct side-by-side training and coaching in the milieu to develop staff competency.
• Provide 1:1 training and consultation to staff as needed.
• Maintain required training certifications and staff training records.
• Maintain accurate OTJT forms, coaching logs, and documentation for licensing and compliance reviews.
• Coordinate and oversee the new-hire mentoring program and monitor progress.
• Support staff professional development goals through ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Coach staff in the moment and provide constructive feedback to strengthen performance.
• Support retention by helping create an engaged, collaborative programming team.
• Serve as an approved trainer in physical intervention and verbal de-escalation techniques.
• Model de-escalation skills and respond appropriately to challenging situations.
• Maintain professionalism during crisis and safely implement intervention techniques.
• Facilitate immediate staff debriefs after incidents for improvement.
• Conduct monthly staff fidelity checklists and analyze incidents for trends.
• Provide feedback to improve safety, performance, and operational effectiveness.
• Support consistent implementation of programming standards and quality services.
• Provide coverage for Program Coordinators and address staffing shortages.
