Job summary

Smithfield Manor Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Staff Scheduler to manage caregiver rosters in our Long Term Care facility in Smithfield, NC. You will develop and maintain scheduling, coordinate staff levels, and help ensure high-quality patient care.

The role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and teamwork, with opportunities for training and professional development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a staffing/scheduling/logistics position within a Long Term Care Health Setting.
• Strong understanding of staffing needs and scheduling requirements.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in using staffing software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Select, schedule, and coordinate caregivers based on assessment and care plan information for new and existing clients.
• Maintain all scheduling of caregivers and respond to scheduling conflicts, emergencies or call-outs; ensure the schedule is complete three days before shifts.
• Track and record scheduling changes in company software.
• Provide input to internal staff on hiring needs.
• Audit timecards to ensure hours match scheduled hours.
• Demonstrate problem-solving, initiative and good judgment in decision-making.
• Coordinate and adjust staffing levels based on patient care needs.
• Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new staff members.
• Maintain accurate staffing records and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
