Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a staffing coordinator to join our team. This frontline role collaborates with the ANS and PPC to develop staffing plans and ensure coverage across patient care units. You will prepare reports, perform real-time data entry, and deliver timely information to nurses, leaders and staff.

The position is 0.6 FTE on 8-hour night shifts with every-other weekend rotation. A strong customer service mindset, detail orientation, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years’ experience in a staffing or customer service environment.
• Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop staffing plans with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor and the Patient Placement Coordinator.
• Create reports, perform real-time data entry, and share timely information with nurses and leadership.
• Utilize staffing and scheduling systems and related tools to monitor coverage for patient care units.

Position Summary

This position performs shift-to-shift and day-to-day staffing functions to determine, in partnership with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor (ANS) and the Patient Placement Coordinator (PPC), a staffing plan to provide coverage of staffing needs for the patient care units within Methodist Hospital. This is a frontline employee position who will create and provide needed reports, complete real time data entry, and deliver efficient time sensitive information to employees, charge RN’s, ANS team members and leadership. This position will utilize processes and policies for both non-contract and union contract employees.

Work Schedule

0.6 FTE. 8 hour Nights. Includes every other weekend rotation.

Required Qualifications

Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination

• Associate degree or 2 years’ experience in a staffing or customer service environment
