Job summary

Hartford HealthCare in Bridgeport is seeking a Staffing Scheduler to create and maintain staffing matrices for clinical areas, and to manage UKG Dimensions schedules to reflect all changes during the schedule/pay period.

You will partner with unit leadership to understand staffing needs, approve/refuse PTO, and support payroll while ensuring equitable staffing across shifts and adherence to budgeted FTEs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision.
• High level of interpersonal skills and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Build professional relationships with unit leadership and staff.
• Collaborate with clinical unit leadership to understand staffing needs, census trends, and scheduling nuances.
• Approve/Refuse PTO requests to meet budgeted allotments.
• Manage data collection for reporting on financial indicators and staffing data.
• Provide bi-weekly payroll support for unit managers.
• Reconcile timecards and address scheduling gaps or variances.
• Post schedules and communicate changes to staff in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update scheduling systems and training for self-scheduling.
