Job summary

Stryker’s Mako Robotics team seeks a Staff UI/UX Designer to shape interfaces for robotic-assisted orthopedic surgery. You will design high-fidelity interfaces, develop UI specs, and collaborate with engineers, product and design teams across locations.

This role supports remote/hybrid/onsite work with up to 20% travel, contributing to current and next‑generation Mako applications while ensuring usability and accessibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX or related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of professional UI/UX design experience.
• Proficiency with Figma and design systems.
• Proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop intuitive, visually consistent software interfaces for Mako applications.
• Create high‑fidelity interface designs, screen layouts, prototypes, and reusable components.
• Translate clinical workflows and user needs into functional interfaces and specifications.
• Develop production-ready UI specifications for software teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, and design across distributed teams.
• Contribute to design reviews, usability evaluations, and documentation.
