Job summary

Stryker’s Mako Robotics team seeks a Staff level User Interface and Experience Designer to craft intuitive software interfaces for robotic-assisted hip procedures. You’ll translate complex clinical workflows into production-ready specs and work with engineering, product, and design peers to shape next-gen interfaces.

This role emphasizes ownership, high-fidelity UI, and reusable design assets, contributing to both current and future Mako technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UI/UX or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of professional UI/UX or software product design experience.
• Proficiency with Figma and shared design systems.
• Proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop intuitive software interfaces for Mako applications, focusing on THA.
• Create high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and reusable UI components using Figma and design systems.
• Translate clinical workflows into clear, functional interfaces for development teams.
• Develop production-ready UI specifications communicated to engineers.
• Create and manage design assets, component libraries, and documentation.
• Collaborate with UX researchers, product owners, and cross-functional teams.
• Support design reviews, usability evaluations, and feedback incorporation.
