Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to lead engineering integration and core engineering teams in defining system interactions and requirements for commercial and industrial power solutions, including data centers and high voltage applications.

You will drive system architectures, create architecture documents, and ensure designs meet product requirements while coordinating with cross-functional partners across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical or related engineering field.
• 10+ years related experience.
• Master's in a STEM major (Engineering / Systems Engineering).
• Experience with electrical power schemes especially for medium voltage applications (1kV to 15kV).
• Experience with generator paralleling and synchronizing (500kW to 5 MW).
• Experience with systems engineering and requirements management in a product development environment (e.g. the V model).
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrixed organization and deliver results.

Responsabilités

• Capture internal and external customer needs and system level requirements by collaborating with Core Engineering, Business Partners, Product Owners and Product Managers.
• Execute development projects delivering products in compliance with regulatory standards for end applications.
• Manage product and system requirements, specifications and flow down.
• Drive validation and verification activities for the overall product/system.
