Job summary

Generac in Wisconsin seeks an Engineer V to drive new product development and continuous improvement of legacy systems. You will lead medium-voltage power design, perform system studies, select components, and plan tests while guiding the engineering team through design, validation, and release.

You will mentor engineers, drive schedules and cost targets, ensure compliance with UL/IEC/NEC/IEEE/CSA, and collaborate with manufacturing.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development from concept through production.
• Design electrical systems and MV power distribution (1–38 kV).
• Perform testing and analyses: short-circuit, arc flash, load flow, etc.
• Ensure compliance with UL, IEC, NEC, IEEE, CSA; optimize for cost and manufacturability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers across teams.
