Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Sr Systems Architect to transform complex customer needs into robust power-generation solutions. You will drive architectures from generator terminals through transmission interconnections, guiding performance, reliability, and operational objectives.

You will lead cross-functional teams, define requirements and interface standards, coordinate FAT/SAT, and ensure timely delivery across engineering disciplines while mentoring staff and advancing MBSE practices.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in power generation or electrical infrastructure
• 7+ years in engineering with 3+ years in leadership
• 5+ years presenting to executive leadership and regulators
• 5+ years managing complex technical initiatives across large projects
• 7+ years with utility-scale power systems and grid interconnection requirements
• 5+ years applying IEEE/ANSI/IEC/NERC/FERC/NFPA standards
• Willingness to travel 25%+

Responsibilities

• Develop and govern integrated power generation system architectures
• Lead integration of gas turbines, GSUs, HV/LV gear, substations, and protection and control systems
• Establish system requirements, baselines, interfaces, and design standards
• Define validation strategies, traceability, FAT/SAT, commissioning milestones
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary efforts to ensure uptime and performance
• Review power system studies for validation of architecture performance
• Translate requirements into architecture and design specifications
• Lead risk identification, interface management, and integration planning
• Serve as primary technical coordinator across GE Vernova units
• Support business development with solution architectures and risk assessments
• Develop reference architectures for data centers, industrial facilities, microgrids
• Lead customer workshops and architecture reviews with executive recommendations
• Support commissioning and performance validation activities
• Mentor teams and advance systems engineering practices
• Coordinate cross-functional testing and solution reviews for alignment
