This role involves embedding with product teams to ensure reliability from the start of projects and leading SRE initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive SRE experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to influence across teams. Superb communication skills and a focus on operational excellence are essential, as well as a commitment to ensuring reliability and scalability in software development.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as an SRE, production engineer, or software engineer with a reliability focus.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to write production-quality code.
• Ability to lead across teams without formal authority.
• Experience identifying process and technical debt and proposing solutions.
• Building measurement frameworks and translating findings into improvements.

Responsibilities

• Embed with teams early in the project lifecycle to ensure reliability.
• Define standards for production-readiness and operational acceptance.
• Establish SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets with product and engineering.
• Create frameworks and tooling across cloud platforms.
• Partner across teams to align reliability with business objectives.
• Lead incident management and improvements.
• Build relationships with cloud provider teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
