Job summary

Babylist’s Platform team is the foundation every engineering team builds on — and this role centers on keeping it reliable, fast, and scalable. As a Staff SRE, you’ll own the infrastructure and reliability practices for 9 million+ users and collaborate with engineering, product, and design to move from problem to solution quickly.

You will evolve AWS infrastructure, CI systems, and developer tooling, while supporting developers across local, staging, and production in a remote-first, AI-forward

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on Terraform expertise (IaC ownership)
• Proven AWS experience at scale (EKS, RDS, CDNs, load balancers, etc)
• Experienced operating Kubernetes in production
• Comfortable designing and improving CI/CD systems (CircleCI, GitHub Actions)
• Strong observability instincts (Datadog, Sentry, PagerDuty, Cronitor)
• Experienced with on-call and incident management
• You use AI daily to move faster and improve output
• Able to support developers across local, staging, and production

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure ownership — manage and evolve AWS infrastructure and core services
• CI/CD reliability — optimize speed and reliability of CI systems for the org
• Developer support — unblock engineers across environments
• Monitoring & alerting standards — establish best practices for alerting
• Incident response — lead or support post-mortems and close loops
• Platform strategy — contribute to architectural decisions for future infrastructure
