Babylist is hiring a Staff Engineer to own a domain, set direction for the next year or two, and guide architecture across multiple teams. You’ll still code and influence product decisions, with an open roadmap and significant scope.

You’ll define what good looks like for AI integration, partner with product, design and data, and coach senior engineers through tough decisions. Remote-first across the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Take fuzzy business problems from first sketch through to production and stay on the hook for customer impact.
• Build the platform or tooling that other teams adopt by choice and own it as it scales.
• Make architecture calls that span teams and are expensive to reverse.
• Set the standard for AI-driven domain development, define patterns and evals before shipping.
