Job summary

Glisan Post Acute in Portland, OR is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, coordinate with families and health team, and maintain documentation in the medical records.

The role includes developing treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing, supervising CFY and students, and contributing to quality assurance and program development.

This full-time position offers benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and a 401K, with pay hourly DOE.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech Therapist in the state.
• Masters or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Supervise CFY – Speech Clinical Fellows and students, if applicable.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with regulations.
• Participate in care conferences, Utilization Review, and rehabilitation meetings.
