Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, communicate with families and physicians, and maintain documentation in medical records. The role involves ongoing staff training and collaboration with an interdisciplinary health team.

The incumbent will supervise CFY speech fellows or students, ensure compliance with state practice acts, and contribute to quality assurance and program development within the facility.

Qualifications

• Qualification: Speech-Language Pathology degree and state license.
• Clinical supervision experience with CFY/students is common.
• Proficiency with medical record documentation and coding.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Provide staff in-services and training for facility personnel.
• Supervise CFY Speech Clinical Fellows and students as applicable.
