Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, OR seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide screening assessments, diagnostic evaluations and patient training related to communication, swallowing, and cognition within the Rehabilitation services team.

You will supervise therapy interns, develop treatment plans, document care, and participate in discharge planning and research activities. This role may include weekend shifts and requires Oregon licensure and ASHA CCCs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
• Oregon State license in Speech/Language Pathology or CFY licensure process within the required timeframe.
• ASHA CCCs required.
• Ability to supervise therapy interns and participate in research activities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates referred patients and establishes treatment goals and plans.
• Develops and implements treatment plans to achieve identified goals.
• Documents evaluations and manages patient records per hospital and payer criteria.
• Supervises interns and participates in education/research activities.
• Participates in discharge planning and post-hospital placement.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team for rehabilitation needs.
