Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Staff Engineer, Mechanical Design for a remote position in the United States. You will lead the physical design of energy infrastructure products, bridging customer discovery and engineering execution as the primary mechanical architect.

Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and cross-functional engineering to translate requirements into scalable, high-integrity mechanical systems, driving DFMA, reliability, and grid integration.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of hands-on mechanical design experience within power infrastructure or modular equipment.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Master's degree or PE license is preferred.
• Proven ability to translate customer requirements into mechanical designs and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems architecture and requirement synthesis for mechanical designs.
• Develop 3D CAD models and perform FEA/thermal analyses.
• Drive design for manufacturability and assembly across vendors.
• Lead design reviews and mentoring of junior engineers.
• Support field deployments and ongoing design improvements.
