Job summary

Celestica, Americas—remote position with travel, seeks a Senior Systems Engineer & Engineering Team Lead to define the technical foundation, architect next-generation power solutions, and lead a multi-disciplinary engineering design team.

You will own the end-to-end systems engineering lifecycle, translate requirements into rigorous system-level specifications, and drive architecture for multi-MW modular infrastructure up to MV, ensuring safety, resilience and rapid deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 8+ years in heavy industrial power systems design or data center infrastructure.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience bringing modular capital equipment to manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary design team of electrical, mechanical, and controls/software engineers.
• Establish engineering workflows, design standards, and peer-review processes.
• Coordinate resources with Project Management to meet design schedules.
• Translate MRDs into system-level requirements and ICDs.
• Oversee 3-phase electrical power distribution system architecture.
• Develop verification matrices and FAT protocols.
• Specify and integrate heavy subsystems (UPS, STS, switchgear, relays).
• Perform studies: short-circuit, relay coordination, arc flash, harmonics.
• Ensure architectures comply with UL/ NFPA/ CE/ IEC standards.
• Design for manufacturability and transportability with manufacturing/service teams.
