Celestica is seeking a versatile Solutions Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the physical design and development of our energy infrastructure portfolio. You will bridge the gap between early customer discovery and formal engineering execution, serving as the primary mechanical architect.

Collaborating with Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and cross-functional engineering teams, you will translate complex customer requirements into scalable mechanical systems designed for structural integrity,

Qualifications

BS in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
7–10 years of hands-on mechanical design experience in power infrastructure, smart energy, or modular equipment.
Experience taking complex mechanical assemblies from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities

Interpret specifications and translate into detailed mechanical specs and ICDs.
Lead technical scoping for proposals as the central mechanical SME.
Design, simulate, and verify mechanical systems for reliability, manufacturability, and performance.
Lead design reviews and ensure manufacturability with fabricators and vendors.
