CHAOS Industries is seeking a Staff Software Engineer focused on sensing systems to drive software from desk to field for long-range EO/IR sensors. You will be part of a small, elite team that runs live tests, tunes code in the field, and ships features close to hardware.

You’ll shape the pipeline from simulation to hardware-in-the-loop and real-world validation, pushing toward fully autonomous end-to-end tests while leveraging AI-assisted coding tools judiciously.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering, end-to-end ownership of a production system.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Strong Python; build services and tools, not just scripts.
• Comfort with Linux, Docker, networking and CI; run multi-service systems on unknown hardware.

Responsabilités

• Build software for sensor-agnostic platforms across camera heads and configurations.
• Create harnesses and graphs from desk through simulation, hardware-in-the-loop to full end-to-end tests.
• Enable autonomous field testing and reports on hardware at test sites.
• Improve simulation, replay, and multi-sensor data integration (radar, cameras, etc.).
• Deploy, monitor, and perform live fixes on edge hardware at customer sites.
