Job summary

CHAOS Industries is building software for long-range EO/IR sensors and other platforms to operate as a single, cohesive system. The engineers work on software that stays generic across sensor types while meeting performance targets and mission demands.

The role involves testing live, iterating code in the field, and advancing capabilities toward autonomous, end-to-end verification with real hardware at test sites.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering, owning a production system end-to-end.
• Strong Python; you build services and tools, not just scripts.
• Comfort with Linux, Docker, networking and CI; multi-service systems on unfamiliar hardware.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for sensors with generic interfaces across camera heads and configurations.
• Create harnesses and graphs to move capabilities from desk to field and through simulation and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Build autonomous end-to-end tests against real hardware at test sites and report outcomes.
• Improve simulation and replay to prove features before hardware touch.
• Integrate multi-sensor data flows (radar, cameras, other sensors) into a single system.
