CHAOS Industries is hiring one of the first software engineers for an electro-optical team focused on long-range EO/IR sensors. You’ll build software that blends with real hardware, test live, and push capabilities through simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and end-to-end tests in the real world.

You’ll join a small elite team that ships code for field use, often on site. Expect hands-on hardware interaction and a strong emphasis on measurable results.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software engineering with end-to-end ownership of a production system.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Python; build services and tools for other engineers.
• Comfort with Linux, Docker, networking and CI; run multi-service systems on unseen hardware.
• Experience with AI coding tools as a multiplier, and ability to write, explain and debug code without them.
• Grounding in the physical world through hardware, sensors, robotics or field time.
• Appetite for field work and on-site debugging before next flight.
• A habit of measuring and trusting data from experiments.

Responsabilidades

• Develop software that works on any sensor and stays generic across camera heads and configurations.
• Create harnesses and graphs to take a capability from desk to field via simulation and hardware-in-the-loop.
• Build autonomous field testing systems that run on real hardware and report outcomes.
• Improve simulation and replay to prove features before touching hardware.
• Enable multi-sensor integration (radar, cameras, etc.) to work as one system.
• Deploy, monitor and fix live software running on edge hardware at test and customer sites.
