Job summary

FieldAI is recruiting a Sensor Systems Engineer for our Federal Team to design, integrate, calibrate, and validate sensing and compute systems on wheeled robotic platforms used in real-world field deployments. You will work across hardware and software to ensure accurate, time-synchronized data from LiDARs, cameras, IMUs, GPS, and more.

Qualifications

• Education: B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field.
• Hands-on sensors experience with LiDARs, depth cameras, IMUs, GPS.
• Cross-functional collaboration across electrical, mechanical and software teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, integration, calibration, and validation of sensing and compute systems for autonomy stack.
• Coordinate with hardware and software teams to ensure data quality and synchronization.
• Production & servicing: QA checks, vendor engagement, and field deployment support.
