Job summary

BuildOps is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to architect, build, and optimize our full-stack platform, from scalable frontend applications to high-performance backend services. You will drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and partner with product, design, data, QA, and leadership to deliver reliable software.

You’ll influence architecture, lead major initiatives, and translate long-term strategy into practical execution while thriving in ambiguity and delivering impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in JavaScript/TypeScript, leading large initiatives.
• Strong experience building full-stack systems with frontend and backend architecture.
• Deep experience with Node.js, GraphQL, and RESTful services in production.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain the full-stack platform, including React.js frontends and Node.js backends.
• Lead technical decisions across the stack, focusing on performance and scalability.
• Design and optimize APIs and service patterns for product experiences and integrations.
• Improve database design and query performance for scalable storage and retrieval.
