Job summary

BuildOps is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale product experiences across frontend, backend, APIs, and integrations. You’ll own features end to end, mentor teammates, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering to ship reliable software that drives real customer impact.

This role supports a hybrid schedule with in-office collaboration Tuesday–Thursday and work-from-home Monday/Friday.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering in production systems.
• Strong frontend and backend feature development experience.
• Experience designing reliable APIs and services.
• Ability to decompose complex problems into maintainable solutions.
• Solid knowledge of databases and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain features across frontend and backend.
• Own projects end-to-end from design to rollout and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineers to plan milestones.
• Write clean, well-tested code with focus on reliability.
• Build user-facing experiences and robust APIs across boundaries.
• Design systems with observability, dashboards, and health checks.
• Improve performance, scalability, and resilience of products.
• Identify risks and dependencies early and mitigate toil.
• Contribute to design reviews and architecture discussions.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards.
