Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to serve as both a Technical Lead and Individual Contributor. You will help build the next-generation platform to promote use cases into products focused on healthier lives, create proofs of concept, and work with engineers to drive delivery excellence and RCA.

You will collaborate with business and IT leaders to build digital assets and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
7+ years of enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed environment.
5+ years of Java development experience.
5+ years of cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and APIs.
3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
3+ years of Agile-based development.
2+ years of Generative AI/Agentic AI experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on feasibility, performance and scalability to meet objectives.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
Coordinate with team members to align on technical direction and decisions.
Adopt best practices and new technologies to boost productivity and code quality.
Share knowledge through code reviews, tech talks, and workshops.
Mentor junior developers to grow their skills and capabilities.
