Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer who, as both technical lead and individual contributor, will help build our next‑generation platform to advance digital health use cases and deliver high‑quality code.

You will collaborate with architects and engineers, participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and drive scalable, reliable microservices and cloud‑based solutions across the enterprise.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in a large-scale distributed environment.
5+ years of Java development experience.
5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud technologies.
5+ years designing and developing modern microservices and APIs.
3+ years of experience with CI/CD Pipeline automation.
3+ years in an Agile development environment.
2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on feasibility, performance, and scalability to meet objectives.
Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and quality guidelines.
Communicate with team members to ensure alignment and informed decision making.
Adopt best practices and new technologies to enhance productivity and code quality.
Share knowledge through code reviews, tech talks, and workshops.
Collaborate with developers to implement complex features and deliver high-quality code.
Mentor junior developers to improve technical skills and growth.
