Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to lead and contribute as both aTechnical Lead and IC, building our next‑gen platform to deliver use cases into products that help people live healthier lives. The role includes creating proofs of concept, driving delivery excellence, and partnering with IT leaders to enhance digital assets.

You will work with a team of engineers to design, implement, and optimize microservices, APIs, and cloud solutions, while mentoring junior

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions.
5+ years Java development experience.
5+ years cloud initiatives and microservices experience.
3+ years CI/CD automation.
3+ years Agile development experience.
2+ years Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting business requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on feasibility, performance, and scalability to meet objectives.
Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards.
Coordinate with team members to align on technical decisions.
Adopt best practices and new technologies to improve productivity and code quality.
Share knowledge through code reviews, talks, and workshops.
Collaborate with developers to implement features and deliver high-quality code.
Mentor junior developers to grow their technical skills.
