CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to act as both a technical lead and individual contributor, building our next‑generation platform for digital health experiences. You will create Proof of Concepts and drive delivery excellence with engineers and IT partners.

The role emphasizes scalable microservices, CI/CD excellence, and collaboration with business teams to deliver high‑impact customer solutions, including leveraging Generative AI and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience delivering enterprise solutions in a large-scale distributed software environment.
• 5+ years of Java development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies
• 5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs
• 3+ years of experience working on CI/CD Pipeline automation
• 3+ years of experience in an Agile-based development environment
• 2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience

Responsibilities

• Leverage expertise to design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting requirements and quality standards.
• Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
• Provide input on feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability to meet objectives.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards and best practices.
• Communicate and coordinate with team members to align on decisions and insights.
• Foster adoption of new technologies to improve productivity and code quality.
• Engage in knowledge sharing through code reviews, talks, and workshops.
• Collaborate with other developers to implement complex features and deliver high-quality code.
