Job summary

Our client, a leader in the Information Technology space, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Authentication) to shape the technical direction of a cloud-based authentication platform, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and secure service delivery.

This remote role, US-based candidates only, partners with product and cross-functional teams to drive architecture from design through production, setting standards and guiding incident response across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend development experience, with a focus on APIs.
• Staff-level track record leading major technical initiatives.
• Hands-on with Go or Python and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, including services like S3 and DynamoDB.
• Ownership of highly available systems, deployment and incident response.

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer (Authentication) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape the technical direction of a cloud-based authentication platform, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and secure service delivery. You will lead major engineering initiatives from architecture through implementation and operational support, partnering closely with product and cross-functional stakeholders. The position calls for a hands-on technical leader who can set standards, anticipate systemic risk, and drive high-impact outcomes across distributed systems.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical strategy for the company's cloud services.
• Lead high-impact initiatives from design through implementation and operational follow-through.
• Set technical standards for cloud-native services across AWS and GCP.

Qualifications
