Ladders is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Program Structure & Trust to design and evolve the foundational architecture supporting enterprise customers with complex needs. You will lead multi-quarter initiatives and partner with leadership to deliver incremental value while shaping long-term solutions.

The role is remote for US-based candidates only, with a compensation range of $150,000 to $180,000 annually.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Program Structure & Trust to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.

This role will focus on designing and evolving the foundational architecture that supports enterprise customers with complex organizational needs. You will lead multi-quarter technical initiatives, shape core platform abstractions, and partner closely with leadership and other engineering teams to deliver incremental value while working toward a long-term solution. The work requires strong systems thinking, cross-functional influence, and the ability to translate a strategic vision into practical engineering execution.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually

Qualifications

• 10+ years of backend engineering experience in fast-paced, product-focused environments
• Proven track record of leading complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives
• Experience designing platform abstractions for diverse enterprise requirements
• History of incremental problem-solving with each phase delivering standalone value
• Familiarity with enterprise architectural patterns like tenancy models and role-based access control
• Strong communication skills for conveying complex systems to various stakeholders
• Exposure to data residency or GovCloud is a plus, with a quick ramp-up expected
