Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Staff Security Engineer, Cloud & AI Platform, to strengthen cloud and AI platform security in a remote, US-based role. You will partner with engineering to embed security into architecture, infrastructure, delivery workflows, and runtime detections.

Responsibilities include defining security architectures, threat modeling, and evolving multi-account AWS security. You will mentor teams and translate telemetry into detections and responses.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security or platform systems.
• Proven ownership of production security architecture.
• Extensive knowledge of AWS security practices and configurations.
• Strong Terraform or OpenTofu experience.
• Familiarity with secure CI/CD practices, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of application security fundamentals and threat modeling.
• Ability to code in Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages.

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Security Engineer, Cloud & AI Platform to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will shape and strengthen the security posture of cloud and AI platforms that support modern property and development operations. You will partner closely with engineering teams to embed security into architecture, infrastructure, delivery workflows, and runtime detections. The position calls for a hands-on security leader who can balance practical risk reduction with scalable platform design in a remote environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 - $160,000 annually
