Job summary

OneTrust, the AI-Ready Governance Platform, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer in San Francisco to help lead technical direction across major features. You will design architecture, set standards, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product and UX to shape solutions from day one.

You'll bring 8+ years of experience, deep frontend/backend expertise, and a track record leading technical initiatives across multiple engineers or systems in a cloud environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Demonstrated track record leading technical initiatives spanning multiple engineers or systems.
Deep expertise in frontend and/or backend technologies with cloud architecture experience.

Responsibilities

Lead design and architecture for major features or components aligned with system architecture.
Partner with other teams, Product, and UX to shape solutions before implementation.
Establish and champion engineering best practices adopted by the team and beyond.
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to grow technical judgment and ownership.
