Job summary

OneTrust is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the AI Governance platform, driving scalable, secure systems for AI/LLM workloads. You will design and implement Java and Python microservices, build cloud-native Azure solutions, and partner with product and UX to deliver observability-rich dashboards.

You will mentor teams, shape multi-quarter roadmaps, and ensure rigorous testing and reliability while aligning across security, platform, and data teams in a fast-paced, office-first

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring, Python, design patterns, microservices, and cloud-native distributed systems.
• Proven experience leading reusable platform or data products for multiple teams.
• Hands‑on with Kafka, Flink, and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Java/Python microservices for the AI Governance platform.
• Design cloud-native apps on Azure using Core Java, REST, and Spring.
• Architect reusable reporting and dashboard capabilities with SQL data sources.
• Define semantic-layer and metric-abstraction capabilities for datasets and queries.
• Lead event-driven integrations using Kafka and Flink for observability datasets.
• Collaborate with frontend, UX, product, and other teams on architecture.
• Maintain strong automated tests and drive quality across the stack.
• Guide teams on testing, automation, and AI system validation.
• Own platform design decisions ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
