Job summary

OneTrust is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our agile Product Engineering team. You will lead design decisions for frontend/backend features and help scale our AI-ready governance platform on Azure and other cloud services.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of software development, strong Java/J2EE, Spring MVC, REST, and cloud experience, plus experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and Drupal. You’ll mentor teammates and drive high-quality software across modules.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering/development experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with OOD and application development in Java/J2EE.
• Experience with elastic search and data streaming tools like Kafka.
• Familiar with REST/OAuth/JSON web services and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend/backend features and contribute to design/architecture decisions.
• Achieve high code coverage and quality through testing and reviews.
• Collaborate with UX, product managers, and other developers to refine architecture.
• Mentor junior developers and help build high-performing teams.
