Job summary

Samsara is hiring software engineers across Senior to Staff+ to define the next generation of AI-powered operations products. This remote role welcomes candidates in the United States and offers ownership of full-stack features from backend services to UI, with a focus on scalable systems and real-world impact.

You will own technically complex areas, drive technical strategy, collaborate with product and customers, and mentor peers while upholding Samsara's values and growth mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience in software design and development, including production systems at scale.
• Strong full-stack fundamentals across backend services, APIs, and frontend.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, or similar.
• Experience leading cross-team projects and delivering measurable impact.
• Experience building AI-powered or data-driven products.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technically complex, mission-critical areas end to end.
• Define and drive technical strategy for new products and platform capabilities.
• Design and ship full-stack features across backend, frontend, and potentially mobile.
• Partner with product, design, and customer teams to translate problems into technical plans.
• Build and scale systems behind AI-powered products and data workflows.
• Mentor engineers and uphold quality, velocity, and craft.
