Samsara is hiring software engineers across levels to build AI-powered platforms for physical operations. You’ll own significant problems end to end, shaping strategy and delivering full-stack features.

The role emphasizes zero-to-one product work, data-driven insights, and collaborating with product and customer teams. The ideal candidate has 8+ years in software, strong full-stack skills, and a track record mentoring others.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS, Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of software design and development experience, including production systems at scale.
Strong full-stack fundamentals across backend and frontend.
Experience leading cross-team projects and driving alignment.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of technically complex, mission-critical areas and drive them to completion.
Define and drive technical strategy for new products and platform capabilities.
Design and ship full-stack features from backend to UI, across web and mobile.
Collaborate with product, design, and customer teams to translate real-world problems into technical plans.
Build and scale data ingestion, APIs, and AI-driven workflows behind products.
Mentor engineers and uphold quality, velocity, and craftsmanship.
