Job summary

Pearson is seeking a forward deployed engineer who embeds with customers to turn vague problems into working software. You will own frontend, backend, data, and deployments, shipping AI-enhanced applications that address real workflows across Pearson’s lines of business.

You will work in ambiguity, iterate quickly, and stay close to both executives and engineers to ensure measurable impact and adoption of AI across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping production systems end to end.

Responsibilities

• Go where the problem is by working with internal stakeholders and design end-to-end systems.
• Translate user needs into buildable software during discovery.
• Ship production AI applications using frontier LLMs, agents, and retrieval systems.
• Own frontend, backend, data, deployments, and observability for live services.
• Iterate rapidly across engagements and keep pace with evolving requirements.
• Maintain relationships with business lines through the lifecycle of engagements.
