Job summary

CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer who will lead and contribute as both technical lead and individual contributor. You will help build our next‑generation platform delivering use cases into products that improve customers' health and experiences, with deep involvement in architecture, code reviews, and performance.

The role requires 7+ years in enterprise software, strong Java, cloud, microservices, CI/CD, Agile, and Generative AI experience.

Qualifications

7+ years of enterprise solution delivery experience in a large-scale distributed environment.
5+ years of Java development experience.
5+ years of hands-on cloud initiatives and cloud computing technologies.
5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs.
3+ years of CI/CD pipeline automation.
3+ years of Agile-based development experience.
2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.

Responsibilities

Design and implement efficient, scalable solutions meeting requirements and quality standards.
Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions with architects and senior engineers.
Provide input on feasibility, performance, and scalability to achieve objectives.
Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards and quality guidelines.
Coordinate with team members to align on decisions and provide technical insights.
Advance adoption of best practices and new technologies to boost productivity and code quality.
Mentor junior developers to improve technical skills and growth.
