You will partner with business and technology leaders to align roadmaps with priorities, set engineering standards, and elevate software delivery quality across the function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Nine+ years of software development with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience architecting solutions across multiple systems and platforms.
• Deep expertise in AWS serverless and cloud-native data architecture.
• Ability to influence technical direction across teams without direct authority.
• Mentoring senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical direction and architecture for the technology team.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will help shape the technical direction of a brokerage and registered investment advisory technology organization, with a focus on architecting scalable solutions across multiple systems and platforms. You will partner with business and technology leaders to align roadmaps with organizational priorities while driving modernization, reliability, and long-term technical strategy. The position also plays a key role in setting engineering standards, guiding cross-team initiatives, and elevating the quality of software delivery across the function.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $150,000 - $165,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Define and drive technical direction and architecture for the technology team

• Demonstrated mentoring skills for senior engineers
