Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead architecture, development, and scaling of core applications. You will bridge backend data systems, AI capabilities, and intuitive frontend experiences, designing dashboards, building microservices, and integrating with diverse data objects and third-party platforms.

You will drive AI enablement, DevOps culture, and advanced orchestration, mentoring teams and guiding the technical roadmap across the stack.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on full-stack development, architecture, and scalable applications.
• Frontend mastery with React/Angular/Vue and data visualization libraries (D3.js, Recharts, Highcharts).
• Backend & API proficiency with REST/GraphQL and microservices design.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and data integration.
• Hands-on AI experience with models/APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic) and LangChain.
• Cloud and DevOps expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD, containers, and IaC.
• Excellent communication of architectural decisions to tech and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of scalable web apps from frontend to backend.
• Architect and implement dashboards and UI surfaces for complex data insights.
• Design secure, scalable APIs and data integration layers with third-party systems.
• Champion AI/ML features to automate workflows and generate insights.
• Build advanced MFT and orchestration beyond simple file transfers.
• Drive cloud-native CI/CD, containerization, and IaC to enable rapid releases.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and performance profiling across the stack.
• Mentor engineers, establish coding standards, and shape the technical roadmap.
